India
is a great country with a fascinating past and a very bright future. It
is a vast country with diverse and ancient civilizations, and its
religious geography is highly complex.
It is the abode of one of
the Seven Wonders of the World, the Taj Mahal. It is the seventh largest
country in the world. India is the land to travel to, a haven of tourism
delights and a civilization to tour through. Tourists come to India
for its cultural exuberance, wealth of sights, diversity of terrain and
in search of that special something, an extra punch that only India
promises and delivers.
It demands that the traveler be prepared
for its own strange forms of tourism offerings - the crowds at Pushkar,
for pushy mendicants at Haridwar, for high commercialism at spiritual
retreats. But equally, it means that he be prepared for an overwhelming
warmth in the people, ease of conversation, and to be stunned into
speechlessness by the beauty, sometimes the manmade and often the
natural.
India is the land of colors. A land of lakes and
rivers, snow capped mountains and forest-covered hills. A land of
diversity which reflects itself in the landscape, the people, the
culture, the language and the religions - each one contributing to the
awesome mosaic called India.
In India, ages reflect themselves
through the monuments viz. Ajanta and Ellora (Maharashtra), Khajuraho
Temple (Madhya Pradesh), Bodhi Temple (Bihar), Hawa Mahal (Rajsathan),
Red Fort (Delhi), Ancient Temples (Tamilnadu), Taj Mahal (Agra) and many
more....
